More than 2,000 stencils were hand made to cover the walls and ceiling in intricate and colorful designs. The new restoration returned to the historic color scheme with elaborate star and lattice work patterns incorporating 70 colors throughout the sanctuary. The paint was then applied in a loose freehand style to emphasis he hand made character of the design.
